The book approaches in detail the problems dependent on the forest and its exploitation by the various actors, who behave in extreme cases in antagonists. Inhabitants, operators, the State... all these actors carry a singular interest to the forest. As underlines it the author, " the question is up to what point to know humanization of the forestry development, which is considered by the State takes account of the interests of all the protagonists the stake holders on plane triple of economic rationality, of the perenniality of the resource and social justice. " And one could add, at the end of the reading of this book, a fourth axis of reflexion, significant, that of the respect of the local cultures and ways of life.
