Summary: One of the major impediments to the advancement of medicinal plant conservation is the difficulty of accessing and analysing the relevant literature. Volume 2 of this bibliography continues the work started in Volume 1 and contains 801 references covering the period 1997-2000. More than 70 journals and newsletters were systematically reviewed for papers relating to medicinal plant conservation issues. The data shows a predominance of material from India, followed by the USA, China, South Africa, Nepal and Madagascar.
