Subject(s): Summary: Ranga Reddi district is one of the 10 districts of Telangana region in Andhra Pradesh. Situated between 77° 30' and 79° 30' of East longitude and 16° 30 and 18° 20' north latitude it covers an area of 7493 sq. km. In the first part, introduction, past and present work, general vegetation, floristic analysis and key to families are given. The second part includes the systematic enumeration. A total 698 species belonging to 414 genera and 110 families have been enumerated. The families have been arranged according to Bentham and Hooker's system with incorporation of recent changes. Under each family key to the genera, followed by the genus with its authority, key to the species and species enumeration is given. All the genera in the family and all the species in the genus are arranged in alphabetical order. All the keys are of the dichotomous indented type. The nomenclature is brought up-to-date. Species enumeration is with citation, description and phenological data.
